RSI or "how far has my mouse moved?"

RSI (in this context) is a program that will actually measure how far you’ve moved your mouse in a day, week, or however long you’ve been running it.  It will also measure how much you’ve used each button.  Not something you’ve probably wondered about until now.  but, if you’re curious, you can download the program here (it’s free and doesn’t even require installation).

setup

Before use, one needs to program in monitor height and width as well as how far the mouse has to move to traverse the screen in these directions

This program seems to have been written with a traditional mouse input in mind, but I suppose it would work for trackpads as well.  I use a tiny joystick under the “g” and “h” buttons at home, so these numbers don’t really mean anything to me.

"RSI" program in action - it also tracks where you move with lines like this.

My work computer has a non-identical dual screen setup (same monitors, but one is at 90 degrees) so I don’t really get to use it correctly there either.  I still thought it was a neat program, so give it a try if you want.  It’s less than a half megabyte, so you don’t have much to loose.

I just thought it was cool and free, so maybe you can find some interesting use for it!
